CloudGenix Talks Future with TMC

CloudGenix has an exciting prospect ahead for the future, and recently, CloudGenix's Kumar Ramachandran sat down with Erik Linask (News - Alert) to talk about that prospect in greater detail. Covering a slate of issues from software-defined wide-area networking (SD-WAN) to , Ramachandran's remarks represented a clear roadmap of CloudGenix's plans for the market in days to come.

Ramachandran noted that SD-WAN was actually a great replacement for a variety of current technologies related to both networking and routing, thus representing a great way to consolidate these tools for fewer points of failure. That improves efficiency and reduces costs while helping to keep the network functioning better in the process. It has similar properties to software-defined networking (SDN), which by itself is a technology many are coming to appreciate along with its cohort network functions virtualization (NFV) as a means to realize both cost savings and more effective systems overall.

Ramachandran also pointed out the growth of the cloud; as more businesses move to cloud-based systems, which requires a different way to handle the network and its attendant functions. CloudGenix's lineup of solutions helps deliver on that front—particularly for those firms looking to update router technology and the like—and in the process deliver a better overall user experience. This actually improves against other such offerings in the field, as CloudGenix can ultimately step in and replace a lot of currently-operating infrastructure with application-defined operations instead. CloudGenix can also work within more general frameworks, allowing companies to define what is desired rather than trying to make plans fit around what the material can do.

The good news there is that CloudGenix has no shortage of plan to help drive the SD-WAN space. Those wanting a greater insight on SD-WAN will have a great opportunity to get that thanks to a program available at this year's ITEXPO at the Greater Ft. Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center. On Thursday, January 28, at 11:00 am, users can participate in the panel discussion “Exploring the SD-WAN.” The discussion will illustrate the value of SD-WAN over multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) systems, broadband, and 4G / LTE (News - Alert) systems.

It's always great to be able to simplify a system, and the proper use of SD-WAN can certainly help on that front. Since it also fits in with cloud development, it provides key benefit in that direction as well. A system with so many clear benefits, as both CloudGenix and the upcoming ITEXPO discussion will illustrate, is certainly worth considering, particularly for those who are looking at upgrades anyway.

Having a better cloud presence is generally a good move, and CloudGenix has a definite plan to put SD-WAN to use in helping businesses make that move. SD-WAN in general has many great applications, so those who use it soonest, and most effectively, might end up with an edge over competitors.
