SD-WAN provider Talari has released two new solutions today: the Talari Adaptive Private Networking (APN) 5.0 and Talari Aware (News - Alert) 2.0. The company released these two technologies in tandem to improve routing and integration capabilities across their platforms.

Talari’s solutions are designed to provide smart, efficient networks to their client companies. APN 5.0 and Aware 2.0 share a series of bulk upgrades, including: BGP and OSPF routing protocol support; virtual routing/forwarding segmentation so single devices can host multiple tenants; standby WAN links to increase cost efficiency; and IPsec tunnel termination.

Talari Aware did get one boost that APN didn’t: its link with Amazon Web Services (News - Alert) will bring an “easy-to-deploy, elastic SD-WAN management solution to the cloud.”

Donna Johnson, Talari’s Senior Director of Products, commented, “Companies are beginning wide-scale deployment of SD-WAN solutions in order to take advantage of low cost broadband to support real-time application and bandwidth demand. But growth has been held back by the difficulty of deploying SD-WAN and a reluctance to add another appliance to branches, as well as perceived security issues with using broadband for sensitive data.”

Both the solutions are available for purchase today. Talari also offers other APN appliances and several different core models.

Talari’s Kevin Gavin (News - Alert) will present at this week’s NFV and SDN Expo, vested within the larger industry conference ITEXPO. His panel today titled “Exploring the SD-WAN,” will put him in conversation with Viptela’s Lloyd Noronha and Aryaka (News - Alert) Networks’ Gary Sevouts. The trio will discuss the intersection of SD-WAN, Broadband, and 4G/LTE advances.
