The demand for cloud computing is real and companies are increasingly recognizing the value of moving away from on-premise investments to paying for solutions as they are needed and used. It’s not only a better way to manage cash flow, but it also provides better opportunities for access to functionality that wasn’t in the budget in the past. It’s leveling the playing field for companies of all sizes and creating significant potential for growth for those offering best practices.

CloudGenix is a company positioned as an emerging player in the cloud space with its software-defined networking capabilities. This focus on SD-WAN instead of traditional routers helps to support the build out of wide-area-networks for clients through the use of software and not devices. The goal, according to the company, is to create a centralized control plane that couples intelligence with policy-based language instead of the typical fragmented network.

In the market, CloudGenix is offering Instant On access to the cloud, touting that its solutions are positioned as more cost efficient and able to improve network performance. The market appears to see this as a value-add, according to Garnet. The research firm recently published a report which shows significant growth in the demand for SD-WAN. In its forecast, the percentage of companies using SD-WANs is expected to surge as much as 30 percent by 2019, up from 1 percent today.

"Enterprises in a range of verticals are rapidly adopting CloudGenix SD-WAN to gain cost and performance benefits that rigid, hardware-based WANs simply can't deliver," said Matthew Phillips, CloudGenix Regional Vice President, in a press release. "With our new East Coast headquarters, CloudGenix is working toward meeting the demand created by our innovation. I'm excited to help bring a market disruptor to the region, and to join the team that is driving a shift in the long-stagnant networking market."

With its Instant On Networks (ION) product family delivering on SD-WAN solutions, CloudGenix is changing how networks are built and managed. The application-defined fabric in the ION line eliminates the need for hardware routers and delivers the cloud to the remote office. In the process, it ensures high performance for transactional and rich media applications, it virtualizes the branch and delivers on the promise of SD-WAN.

As the demand for cloud access continues to grow and solutions have to be more nimble and versatile than ever, CloudGenix is positioned well to take advantage of the growth potential in this space. The key will be to providing seamless connectivity, improved performance and efficient operations that make sense for the dynamic environment.
