As Aryaka (News - Alert) Sr. Director, Product Management Mouli Radhakrishnan succinctly spelled out at last month’s SD-WAN Expo, SD-WAN is ready for the main stage. Most notably, global deployments; where Radhakrishnan underscored his point with a bird’s eye view of the Aryaka network. And now, the SD-WAN solution provider is expanding presence.

Today, Aryaka unveiled a partnership with SK Holdings to support enterprises with offices in South Korea with improved application performance and global connectivity. The pairing delivers Aryaka greater presence in the Asia-Pacific Region.

For SK Holdings, the deal means the ability to offer reliability and consistent application performance in a region that is one of the worst in the world in terms of unreliability. And, as we exist in an era of digital transformation, SD-WAN is a nice addition to the portfolio of a systems integration – especially, in a region with growth on the horizon.

“Businesses in South Korea expanding internationally and migrating applications to the cloud need reliable SLA-based network connectivity and better application performance,” said Claudio Perugini, Senior Vice President of Global Channels at Aryaka. “For SK Holdings and its global enterprise customers, Aryaka’s global SD-WAN solution delivers the reliability and security of a cloud-native private network, application acceleration, and the flexibility and fast deployment of SD-WANs to achieve their business execution needs.”

The application performance issue is something that plagues businesses far and wide. As noted in the report, “SD-WAN Adoption is Accelerating to Reduce Security Risk”, 85 percent of organizations around the globe stated securing and managing branch networks as the key drivers to researching SD-WAN. Another point of note, 93 percent of these firms are expecting to have an SD-WAN deployment in place by the end of 2019.

SD-WAN is surging because of its ability to support the cloud era, providing the level of security, performance, reliability and flexibility demanded in the modern organization.
