The cloud era is creating opportunity, as the network continues to experience a rebirth firms willing to push the boundaries of capability are seizing the day. The SD-WAN space is built on innovation, evolving from ideation to finished product, and today we have news of a new patent in the space.

Adaptiv Networks (News - Alert) has been granted US Patent # US 2019/0182213 Al for “System, Apparatus and Method for Providing a Unified Firewall Manager,” bringing the count of software-defined networking and network orchestration to 11.

A key takeaway from today’s announcement is the delivery of a frictionless managed SD-WAN solution, addressing the issues with supporting a distributed enterprise with a cloud managed software defined security perimeter.

The newly minted patent joins the 10 others already embedded in Adaptiv’s Network-as-a-Service suite. These include Adpativ Cloud, Adaptiv Edge CPE and Adptiv Core, offering MSPs and their customers enhanced network orchestration, network edge and application performance as well as intelligent cloud transport.

Adaptiv’s MSP partners gain access to an arsenal of solutions that promise to reduce OpEx, increase network agility, boost security and reliability and provide cloud productivity.

“Once again, Adaptiv Networks is raising the bar with another patent that demonstrates its leadership in SD-WAN technology innovation. This patent is an important element in our vision to deliver managed SD-WAN solutions that enable even small and medium size companies to become digital businesses with amazingly simple and agile cloud connectivity.” said Bernard Breton (News - Alert), CEO of Adaptiv Networks.

Innovation is steering the SD-WAN ship, and the future for the network is bright. And the MSPs opportunity burns even brighter.
