Cisco SD-WAN Selected to Support NTT East Managed SD-WAN Services

Nippon Telegraph and Telephone East Corporation (NTT (News - Alert) East) announced the selection of Cisco SD-WAN powered by Viptela for its new managed SD-WAN services joining the NTT East VPN service portfolio for enterprises.
Mr. Naoki Shibutani, Senior Executive Vice President, Representative Director, NTT EAST explained, "We are very pleased to create this new service by collaborating with Cisco (News - Alert) to deliver its SD-WAN solution to solve corporate challenges from workstyle reform, security measures, and labor shortage. With these enhancements, we are committed to continuing to provide secure, reliable and optimized network services to solve challenges that society faces."
In an effort to ease the enterprise cloud transition – and migration mobile – NTT brought together the Cisco SD-WAN Controller, Cisco ISR 1100 series router, Cisco CSR (News - Alert) 1000v and Cisco Network Functions Virtualization Infrastructure (NFVI). NTT East will leverage the components as its managed SD-WAN base, allowing NTT East to develop a virtualized platform capable of delivering flexible, secure network access.
Available by July 2020, the managed SD-WAN service promises end-to-end support and management via Cisco Customer Experience Team. For an enterprise seeking accelerated, user-friendly access to the digital age, the service sounds like a pretty good fit.
