Hyundai HCN Selects Silver Peak as SD-WAN Partner

This week, leading South Korean MSO, Hyundai HCN, expanded its portfolio with the addition of managed SD-WAN services by way of SilverPeak. Hyundai HCN enterprise and service provider customers can now utilize the Silver Peak (News - Alert) Unity EdgeConnect and Unity Boost in network deployments to ensure optimal performance.

The move not only expands Hyundai’s portfolio, it also opens the door to the enterprise and service provider markets. It can be purchased as a turnkey service, or a managed service offering. The duo will work with Weston-Comstor (News - Alert) to offer integration and fulfillment of the Silver Peak SD-Wan services, as well as ancillary products such as security offerings from partner Palo Alto (News - Alert) Networks.
Selecting Silver Peak seems a no-brainer for the South Korean firm, noting its maturity, number of production deployments, scalable pricing, security services in addition to its consumption model. It also highlights the ability to offer tiered managed SD-WAN services and the Unify (News - Alert) Orchestrator as determinants for the decision.
