For SD-WAN, case studies continue to mount, and as vendors venture further into software-defining branch operations adoption and deployment numbers surge. Across verticals, SD-WAN is making its mark felt with undeniable results speaking resoundingly.

Aruba unveiled its SD-Branch solution, which integrates SD-WAN, LAN and security in a cloud managed offering capable of supporting a digital-first enterprise, in addition to cloud, mobility and IoT requirement s.

“Retail, hospitality, and healthcare organizations with multiple locations need to manage a lot of complexity in their branch environments with a limited IT presence. This is exacerbated by cloud services that impact the WAN infrastructure, as well as new IoT devices that are straining IT security and management capabilities,” said Kenneth Ma, director and general manager of Hong Kong and Macau, Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company.

In specific, the newly announced SD-WAN solution provides enhanced control and insights, as the context aware gateway is able to get granular ensuring exceptional QoS and an enhanced branch experience. Introducing a more integrated, centralized management approach, enterprises enjoy cost savings and simplicity. Security is no afterthought, as the Aruba 360 Security Exchange Program joins more than 100 partners in an ecosystem seeking to add value to current security infrastructure.

Aruba’s Software Defined Branch solution brings together SD-WAN with WLAN, LAN, and security under a single, software-defined framework for policy and segmentation,” Ma continued.

The branch is the new frontier for SD-WAN vendors. This transformational technology is able to support the sprawling nature of the digital-first, modern enterprise with ease.
