It’s not every day that you receive a resounding pat on the back from the industry, especially in a space as competitive and crowded as SD-WAN. But if anything is worthy of a round of “attaboys,” it’s security, and one such SD-WAN vendor is cementing its position as a market leader.

Fortinet (News - Alert) recently announced its FortiGate Secure SD-WAN solution is receiving kudos from partners, customers and independent testing entities.

Gartner (News - Alert) notes Fortinet is the most reviewed vendor in Gartner Peer Insights for the WAN Infrastructure Market as of December 14. Fortinet also received Magic Quadrant status for WAN Edge Infrastructure from Gartner. In addition, NSS Labs gave the SD-WAN vendor a “Recommended” rating for its security capabilities.

Did somebody say security? Fortinet touts enterprise grade security for direct internet access, security for SD-Branch, deep inspection of encrypted traffic to support digital transformation and compliance with security rating services.

This growing track record makes it easy for partners to sing its praises in the prosperity of a maturing market. Customers gain peace of mind and a high performing network, validating Fortinet’s efforts.

“In today’s threat landscape, security can never be an afterthought in any network deployment. Fortinet’s focused innovations and evolution of best-of-breed SD-WAN with in-built next-generation firewall provides the advanced threat protection necessary for direct internet connectivity. Our philosophy of tightly integrating security and SD-WAN functionality together minimizes management complexity, ensures a safer deployment and helps reduce costs. It’s clearly resonating with customers and we’re seeing rapid adoption of FortiGate Secure SD-WAN.”
