SD-WAN is soaring on the wings of digital transformation. This gateway to the cloud is offering the dawn of a new day. The enterprise at times can be a bit of a fickle beast, and the best to address the unique needs of every organization is to bring expertise and choice to the table.

SD-WAN Expo Gold Sponsor Hughes (News - Alert) Network Systems announced a partnership with VeloCloud to make the VMware SD-WAN the newest addition to the HughesOn Managed SD-WAN portfolio.

Hughes offers choice for its enterprise customers, not just in adding the SD-WAN solution to its arsenal, but also for deployment. On-prem, in the cloud or hybrid deployments are all options; and the VMware platform supports Zero Trust security architectures as well as Next Generation Firewall.

Once deployed, users gain access to MPLS, cloud on-ramp services and native capability for VoIP optimization, whether over broadband networks or wireless.

"Adding VMware's VeloCloud-powered SD-WAN strengthens our position as the one-stop shop for the distributed enterprise’s SD-WAN needs," Mike Tippets, vice president of enterprise marketing, Hughes, said in the release. "Now organizations of all types and sizes can choose from among the leading SD-WAN platforms in the industry while receiving the benefits of our managed service expertise in tailoring the right network and security solutions for their operations."

The search for the right SD-WAN is an important one, and a good technology partner will point you in the right direction.
