RabbitRun Announces New Flawless 4G Failover Features at ITEXPO Florida 2022
As Businesses Turn to Wireless Private Networking, RabbitRun Reveals New Features Delivering Flawless 4G Failover
Wireless LTE (News - Alert) failover is becoming increasingly popular as more businesses need to support working from home and working from anywhere. Automatic switching from a standard WiFi (News - Alert) connection keeps businesses running normally when unexpected disruptions to their Internet connection arise, whether at home or in the office.
Internet downtime can bring business to a sudden halt, as businesses lose the ability to process orders, accept credit cards, utilize aspects of their security system, provide customer service, or simply communicate and collaborate, using Unified Communications (News - Alert) as a Service (UCaaS).
RabbitRun Technologies, creator of SOHO SD-WAN, announced today they will be showcasing new elements of their award winning Flawless 4G Failover solution at ITEXPO (News - Alert) this week in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The company will be demonstrating two new features that empower MSPs to more effectively sell and support their Flawless 4G Failover solutions to small office and home office users.
The first feature, LAN Jump, is an innovative new capability that allows IT helpdesk and support staff to remotely reach devices on the customer's LAN from a web browser logged into the RabbitRun device management portal.
Specifically, the new service allows authorized users to browse to the web page of any device on the end customer's LAN, allowing direct administration of customer assets such as IP phones, cameras, printers, or even the ISP modem.
The service is protected by security features including time-limited access, DHCP-limited selectivity, and multi-factor authentication, to help ensure that only authorized users can gain access.
The other new feature is their RAS (Remote Access Server), which allows off site users to access the local network behind any RabbitRun device. With this service, authorized users can securely connect to the office with a VPN client when off-site via the public IP address of an underlay connection, or a persistent address served from the cloud.
The service utilizes an intuitive and easily accessible VPN client that is available for all major operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS, Android (News - Alert) and iOS. Template controlled security policies define the users, groups and assets that are available and accessible.
While 4G may not be the perfect solution for every company it is proven to be a reliable wireless “last mile” that will always be diverse to their primary connection.
And while 4G is not as powerful as 5G when it comes to bandwidth-heavy applications (streaming video, large file transfers, etc.) it is a step into the future of what could become completely wireless enterprise private networks.
Today 4G failover supports all the basic applications including VoIP, ERP, CRM, and other productivity platforms, and simply ensures business continuity when other networks fail.
