RAD Wins MEF 2018 NFV Technology of the Year Award

TEL AVIV, ISRAEL, November 5, 2018 – RAD, the industry pioneer of network edge virtualization, is the winner of the MEF 2018 Technology of the Year Award in the NFV category for its service assured vCPE Toolbox.

The award was presented during the MEF Awards Gala Dinner at MEF18 on October 30 in Los Angeles. The judging panel was comprised of global and regional senior analysts from ACG Research, ATLANTIC-ACM, Dell’Oro, Frost & Sullivan, Futuriom, IHS Markit, Ovum, and Vertical Systems Research, in addition to independent judges.

Part of RAD’s Service Assured Access solutions, the comprehensive vCPE Toolbox offers everything service providers need to roll out NFV-based carrier-grade business services today, while maintaining full openness to work with any VNF, SDN controller, orchestrator, and third-party white box.

“We’re extremely proud to have been recognized with this honor,” said Ilan Tevet, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at RAD. “We’ve received great feedback from the market for the demonstrated innovation and unique value that RAD’s vCPE Toolbox offers to service providers.

“Its wealth of options and the level of flexibility it allows have no parallel in the market, especially when it comes to ensuring network availability, health, security, automation, and WAN connectivity. CSPs can now avoid vendor lock-in and choose the best-of-breed elements that optimally suit their business needs.” The MEF awards are given to companies that exhibit innovative solutions to emerging dynamic network services powered by LSO (Lifecycle Service Orchestration), SDN, NFV, SD-WAN, and Carrier Ethernet technologies.

About RAD RAD is a global telecom access solutions and products vendor, enabling service providers and network operators to evolve any service over any network. By allowing mobile, business and wholesale service providers to decouple service evolution from network evolution, we assist them in migrating at a pace that is right for them. They can leverage existing resources and prolong the use of a large variety of their current legacy interfaces and equipment, as well as maintain network and service performance to guarantee user experience. In addition to providing an economical migration path to network edge virtualization, our Service Assured Access solutions are designed to deliver complete visibility for greater operational efficiency, as well as timing synchronization for LTE/LTE-A and future 5G deployments. Founded in 1981, RAD has an installed base of more than 16 million units, and works closely with Tier 1 operators and service providers around the globe. RAD is a member of the $1.35 billion RAD Group of companies, a world leader in communications solutions.
