In sports, once a very so often we enjoy the opportunity of witnessing a generational talent; the type of player that lives up to the hype and then some; the type of player that transforms the way the game is played. In technology, there are many developments crowned “the next big thing,” but few that when the rubber meets the road exceed expectations. SD-WAN is one of these generational developments that is proving quite transformational.

Recently, Versa Networks named Rob Mustarde to the role of SVP Worldwide Sales. Mustarde is tasked with taking his more than 25 years worth of experience in leading rapidly growing technology companies to further growth, expansion and market leadership.

“Versa Networks is in the sweet spot for organizations looking to accelerate their digital transformation,” said Mustarde.

The team at Versa started with ex-Juniper execs taking a trailblazing idea and turning it into SD-WAN success. It begins with Versa’s integrated approach to security, and ends with tireless innovation and efforts to move this infant arena toward maturity. Mustarde comes in at a serendipitous time, with the expertise of taking a rapidly growing networking technology firm, and scaling operations to reach maximum growth.

“I love how the technology provides the best of both worlds for enterprises, a ‘do-it-yourself’ and managed through service providers for enterprises to enable WAN modernization. Versa is the leader of the pack when it comes to software-defined networking and security bringing to market SD-WAN, SD-Security and SD-Branch. I look forward to addressing the primary operational and business challenges that enterprises and service providers face with legacy WANs and traditional networking hardware.”

The bar is set, but Versa is positioned leap above and beyond expectations – kind of like SD-WAN itself.
