Bob Dylan said it best, “The Times They Are A-Changin’.” While those words hit the radio waves in the 1960s they continue to ring true. For decades, perimeter-based security was the preferred posture, but this legacy approach is no longer getting the job done. Welcome change, welcome SASE.

SASE service provider iboss unveiled the achievement of “In Process” FedRAMP authorization, highlighting its focus on offering federal agencies secure, reliable access to applications agnostic of device or location.

"Until recently, there was a huge focus on securing an agency's perimeter by routing all incoming and outgoing internet traffic through a multiple security technology stack of appliances located at an agency data center or branch office location. However, this legacy approach does not effectively support the continued adoption of cloud applications, as well as the abundance of government personnel that will continue working remotely post-pandemic," said Paul Martini, CEO of iboss.

In addition to its new “in Process” status, iboss announced Craig Mueller as the new Vice President of Federal Sales, as the industry leader is now listed on the FedRAMP marketplace and furthering efforts to complete the authorization process.

Martini continued, "Craig has a proven track record of leading high performing Federal teams. We look forward to achieving FedRAMP authorization under his leadership, while helping Federal organizations adopt a zero trust architecture."
